PART OF THE ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY’S OPEN STAGES PROJECT
2012
This year is going to be another exciting one for SIDE BY SIDE, because we have been accepted by the Royal Shakespeare Company to take part in their 2012 theatre project, OPEN STAGES . This is an Olympic Year project to celebrate our famous poet and playwright. Side By Side will be presenting, DREAM ON, our new version of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM in June 2012, then we will be taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the largest theatre festival in the world, it is still an unbeatable experience for our actors and sets a challenge for us all. In the meantime we have to continue the constant effort to raise the funds to enable us to carry out our projects
