The beauty of nature expressed through mime, dance, and sign language will be presented in a show performed by young actors.
Dance and drama students on the Learning4Life programme at Stourbridge College will stage The Green Fuse on Wednesday.
The actors, who have learning disabilities, will give the one-off performance at Stourbridge Town Hall using music, poetry, sound effects and the sign language Makaton. The production based on the theme of gardens, and the students will present a compilation of scenes, some of which have been performed at festivals and exams.
Tutor Susan Wallin said:"The students are very concerned about the problems with litter and pollution, we have made a number of visits to local parks and have made an anti-litter video and this is something high-lighted in the performance. In the year of the disabled, this is an ideal opportunity to support and experience the contribution made by this group to disability art."
Part of the Green Fuse will also look at the plight of toads and include a piece specially written by Mrs Wallin.
Tickets for the Green Fuse are £5 and are available from the college on 01384 344500.
